The Future

Dell has made computing more affordable and accessible by revolutionizing how the world shops for technology. Just two decades after Dell was founded, this industry-wide phenomenon has become known as The Dell Effect.
The fundamental philosophy by which the Dell team works together is the foundation for the Dell Effect. We call this our Winning Culture, and it rests on a collective commitment to our customers, direct relationships, global citizenship, team success and winning.
Thanks to our team's unrelenting focus on productivity and innovation, Dell today is a leader in the global technology industry, and our leadership has helped reduce the cost of the technology. In one key productivity metric — the number of computers built per Dell employee — we have seen an increase of 240 percent in just five years, a productivity jump nearly 10 times greater than the economy at large.
The Dell Effect also expands the benefits of IT-driven transformation to more segments of the economy and society. Our aim is to continue to empower small businesses, upgrade public education, modernize higher education and enable advanced research.
In the years to come, Dell looks forward to partnering with policymakers to modernize and expand the innovative practices of the technology industry to the needs and goals of people and governments worldwide. We hope to do so by partnering with policymakers to build agendas that achieve four primary goals:

- Help governments at all levels harness the benefits of the technology revolution.
- Build a highly-skilled workforce.
- Make widespread access to computing an international priority.
- Create a climate in which innovative business models can grow and succeed.
Every day, we reaffirm our commitment to not only to make Dell a continuing American success story, but also to partner with government to ensure that the benefits of the networked world are brought to every human being around the globe.
